Voice Mail notification on phone with multiple accounts enabled

We are using FreePBX with Yealink T48G phones and are having an issue with Voice Mail notification\behavior. Basically, what we are seeing is that the phone will show more than one new voice mail when only one new voice mail is on the system. Also, seeing that when the user listens to the voice mail the phone will show a pending new voice mail where none exists. We will enable 2-3 accounts on these phones so this is a real nuisance. Any help is appreciated.
