Voice announcements dependent on IVR choice or CID?


Is it possible to set the language to be used for announcements depending on the CID - or maybe depending on a choice by the caller (maybe made in IVR) ?

If yes, can someone point me to an example or similar ?


CID specific routing… when you say CID are you talking of multiple numbers calling in, or for one of your DIDs?

You can create an IVR with say the following options, which most big companies do.

Press 1 for English
Press 2 for Spanish

Then you point the IVR to another IVR with the destinations you need.

You can do CID filtering using inbound routes, but you will need to know the number of someone who is calling, or just the area codes and such.

If you are going to do it by DID, that is simple, you could set up a DID for Spanish callers only, use the Inbound Routes and point it to a Spanish speaking IVR.

You will need to be a little clearer on your intentions, explain what you are trying to do.
