Anyone experienced in vmware virtualization ?
I need to virtualize my running phisical freepbx into ESXi 5.5 Hypervisor

Have done this as a backup. Installed the exact same iso on the virtual machine and on the physical. Made sure that the exact same upgrades on FreePBX modules were performed so that the machines were identical.
Separated physically the networks of the virtual machine from the physical working FreePBX, then did a full backup of physical, and restoration onto the virtual. Worked without a problem. Changed the network settings on the virtual to remove any ip conflicts, and then reconnected to the network.
Few changes are made to our phone system, so the virtual machine sits there ready to take over if necessary
