I currently have a Viking c-2000B module and Grandstream HT841 setup to open a door when the extension is called. What is the best way to connect this. The HT841 is hooked to the trunk port of the C-2000b. To open the door you just dial #1**. Basically the trunk needs to be activated which Is working but Im not sue the best way to send the digits afterwards.
I’m not sure what you are asking, but if it’s just how to send #1** on the trunk, create an Outbound Route with (for example):
prepend: #1**
prefix: 6736
match pattern: (leave blank)
CallerID: (leave blank)
Trunk Sequence: (the Asterisk trunk associated with the HT841 port connected to the C-2000B).
Then, when you dial 6736 (OPEN) from an extension, #1** will be sent on the trunk, which the HT841 will convert to DTMF and send it to the C-2000B.
Make sure that the relevant Dial Plan in the HT841 allows #1** (the default value does not).
I have a door controller that connects to an FXO port on a HT841
I want to dial 3667 and open the door.
I tried your suggestion and it gives me All Circuits are busy.
I found using wwwww#1** as an Asterisk option on the trunk may be the solution but im not onsite to verify the door is opening but the call is answered.
Likely because the default HT841 Dial Plan did not accept the #. But if using the D option is working for you, I’d just leave it as is. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I thought I already allowed it in the dial plan. Is this right?
{ x+ | +x+ | x+ | xxx+| #1* }
