Can someone tell me if this is normal (think not) and where it is coming from?

I can certainly claim not to be highly skilled at this so if this is a ridiculous/simple question… sorry!

Looks like a standard commit changes to me. The custom contexts don’t exist unless you use them. They are included as “hooks” for custom user extensions.

FreePBX is fully extensible.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. When you refer to “commit”, is “commiting” almost like and initial boot up “loading” process? So I can take it that it is a normal function as seen by you and that my system is not going through a whole loading process that is superfluous to a simple PBX function with 5 extensions?

Regards
Craig

“commit” the process that occurs when you hit “apply settings” and the Asterisk config is writted out.

Superfluous? Not if you want your phones to work. 5-500 extensions, FreePBX has to write the same base config to Asterisk.

Hi, Thanks a lot. Got it!!! At least I know now that the PBX is not going though a set of process that are not needed because I have made an error!
