These are a little old in the tooth now days, my post is about the 3050 high capacity port models, its 2025 and still no per port status LED’s, but the big one, no MELT capabilities aka GR909 this is now in even the cheapy Chinese 2 port ATA’s as well as the high cap units, even grandstream ata has this capability, for the same retail price as older models, knowing how this is implemented, there is no more than a few cents in bulk buys in parts to measure the values required.
Is it not time the antiques that we pay an absolute premium for compared to other comparable devices, got these features?
The Vegas are no longer meeting modern day requirements, there are better solutions available at half the price of these things - and no, not all of them are cheapy Chinese units - which BTW are very high port capicity devices we have had zero issues with (1 of them replaces 2 Vegas, and in another campus wide, one of them replaces 6 Vegas and both at half the price of Vegas, heck even their 48 port units are darn sight cheaper ( similar to grandstreams) and highly reliable.
I bring this up here because although I wont do vendor lock ins, I do prefer to not mix and match, but I’m having a hard time justifying these things even to myself now days, let alone anybody else, how about having that discussion “king charles” at your next bored meeting.
