I have g729 installed at my system.
But the question is: How must I know that it is really been used.
Looks a dumb question. But how must I proceed to see it throught CLI>
I can see that is installed with > show translation

Do:
sip show channels
during a call and it will show which codec is in use for that call.
show translation
is informational only and tells you nothing about your system.
