Hello all, getting this browser pop up trying to load in a new firmware version using EPM Custom Firmware Management.
Uploaded firmware file is too large
The firmware is 753MB.
I have already turned up both the upload_max_filesize and the post_max_size to well above that. The PHP Info page confirms I have successfully made the change.
Despite the error the file also is correctly uploaded to the TFTP directory, it just does not create a row in the custom FW management screen, so it looks more like it might be an issue with EPM rather than a web server issue.
We also have the same problem when trying to upload the firmware for the phone Yealink T58W Pro.
The firmware is 718MB and it gives the error “Uploaded firmware file is too large”.
I looked at the php size limit but they seem wrong because we can upload files larger than what is in the php.ini setting.
There must be another setting somewhere else or maybe even hardcoded.
Does anyone know where we should look for this ?
These are all Yealink firmware issues (will update subject if that is the case) ? Are there smaller firmware bundles that you can upload e.g. for a subset of phone models ? Or is only a single monolothic 700+ MB download available ?
Maybe you can just upload a random smaller file. Name everything like the original firmware file. After it is added in EPM you can replace the uploaded file by the correct firmware using SSH.
It seems like a quick and dirty solution, and it will probably work. I’ll let you know. However, I would prefer that the Sangoma team fix this issue properly. I will open a ticket with Sangoma today.
