I just want to ask if someone had tried or know: If I upgrade Asterisk from 1.4.22 to 1.6 will FreePBX continue to work fine with the new Asterisk and will I keep all the settings I have inside?
I just tried the same upgrade on my test box, and initially it looks like it’s working; although that box has only a couple of extensions defined. Mostly I left the config files alone; although I replaced a few config files with new versions from 1.6 (when it looked like the old config file was unchanged from the default).
I also updated FreePBX from 2.5 to 2.6rc on that same box; again, seems to be working. But I’m going to tinker with it a while before I even think about touching my production box.
