Update from Asterisk Ver. 1.8.17.0 --> Asterisk 12... Help needed please!

Hi,
I have an old Asterisk 1.8 and I would like to update it to Asterisk 12.
A really nice guys, [TK]D-Fender, told me I shoudn’t restore a Asterisk 1.8 backup on an Asterisk 12 because it will not work really good.
He told me to update manually to the Asterisk12.

I updated the most packages and now, I would like to update my Distro from Asterisk Ver. 1.8.17.0 to Asterisk 12.
How can I do it ?

I am honestly a bit lost.

If you are using the distro, you can update the distro with:

To switch asterisk versions:
