Unprovisioned handset

Thanks in advance for any direction that you can give me. I am trying to get a Cisco 7960 online with a new installation of Ver. 1.8.16.0. The phone is loading SIP and coming up but is not on-line with the PBX.

My error message is: WARNING[3683] chan_sip.c: username mismatch, have <101>, digest has
[2012-10-23 14:45:47] NOTICE[3683] chan_sip.c: Registration from ‘sip:[email protected]’ failed for ‘192.168.0.210:50464’ - Username/auth name mismatch

I have the following entries configured:

In the Phones SIPXXXXXXX.cnf file:
proxy1_address: "192.168.0.250"
proxy1_port: “5060”

line1_name: "101"
lone1_shortname: "101"
line1_displayname: "101"
line1_authname: "101"
line1_password: “123456”

In the sip_additional.conf file:

[101]
deny=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
secret=123456
dtmfmode=rfc2833
canreinvite=no
context=from-internal
host=dynamic
trustrpid=yes
sendrpid=no
type=friend
nat=no
port=5060
qualify=yes
qualifyfreq=60
transport=udp
encryption=no
callgroup=
pickupgroup=
dial=SIP/101
mailbox=101@default
permit=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
callerid=Kathy <101>
callcounter=yes
faxdetect=no
cc_monitor_policy=generic

What configuration am I missing here?

Thanks!

FYI:

PBX Firmware: 1.816.210.58-1
PBX Service Pack: 1.0.0.0

I fixed the typo above where it says lone1_shortname: “101” to line1_shortname: “101”. However, the same condition remains. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

It seems that some of the configuration settings are making it to the phone and some are not. I was able to manually enter the shortname, authname (as these said “unprovisioned” and password (I don’t know if it had the right password or not) and the phone comes on line. So my question is now: Do I have something configured wrong in the files above, or is there some third config file that I need to set up? Thank you!!!

I would use the endpoint manager to create the files.

Maybe you edited them with a windows text editor and corrupted them, just a guess.

Skyking,

Not trying to be a bother but EPM doesn’t seem to be overly intuitive to me. Is there some documentation on it somewhere? I have looked through the documentation and done some searches but have not located anything. Thanks!
