Unable to load transport udp after auto module updates

After some auto module updates while away I now get the following and cannot connect to trunk anymore

Was stable and working before I went away

Any ideas

FreePBX 17.0.21 distro 12

4034 [2025-10-14 00:39:32] ERROR[2037] res_pjsip.c: Unable to retrieve PJSIP transport ‘0.0.0.0-udp’
4035 [2025-10-14 00:39:32] ERROR[2037] res_pjsip.c: Error 320047 ‘No answer record in the DNS response (PJLIB_UTIL_EDNSNOANSWERREC)’ sending OPTIONS request to endpoint VoIP.ms_trunk

Looks like a DNS issue to me. Can you resolve the SIP registrar of your provider from your FreePBX?

In the FPBX Shell:

dig sip.yourprovider.com

(Replace “sip.yourprovider.com” with your real URL from your registrar)

What do you get in the “Answer” section?

This only appears to have started happening since the security update to endpoint - GHSA-m42g-xg4c-5f3h ??

I can dig my provider from console
Also i have Fanvil deskphone which connects to the same provider ok on line 2

Solved….

Had to reinstall FreePBX 17 and I can confirm that the issue occurs when ENDPOINT security update is applied.

I don’t have the time or willpower to investigate further.

Very frustrating all round, plus the lack of root now just adds to the problem.

This created a system outage for the month I was away with no ability to fix. No way to connect to our trunks , incoming or outgoing.

Surely I can’t be the only one affected by this.

No automatic or module updates installation going forward without full backup prior to updates to preserve system integrity and ability to regress any changes.

This has been the worst upgrade experience I’ve ever had.
