Hi
I have provision a private trunk between our business and Bell but having some issues with dialing out.
The trunks are up and running and available but when I dial out the call does not even hit the trunks (when looking at the cdr) but the logs show
Reason: Q.850;cause=1;text=“User not Found”
Now I am 100% sure the my contact-user is wrong, so I am not blaming anyone but myself.
During the certification process, I was able to make in and out calls with the freepbx using their lab settings, but once I got the production settings I was unable to do this anymore.
certification: sip:9993939999;tgrp=1;trunk-context=siptrunking.XXXXXX.ca@mypublicIP address
Production I tried to emulate the same process: but given the new number and the private ip address.
Any ideas where to look for the issue?
It feels like I am so close but can’t tell exactly what.
Yeah, I asked them to provide some visibility so I am waiting to hear back .
The confusing part is that it says no user here, wonder if it refers to the username was provided, but on the other hand, the trunks is up and available.
Is just the other end is rejecting the call.
I may have to get someone to look at what I am sending into the contact-user. I have the feeling my issue is there . Unless anyone else feels differently.
Check that you are advertising a valid number on your Trunk for caller ID. Most sip provider will reject any number that you do not have associated with your account. Make sure you have set the caller ID on the trunk and set it to use trunk id to test.
