My IPS has been going nuts ever since I added a Digium phone our freepbx install.
Occasionally our Digium phone will send a packet out to our pbx using UDP port 0.
Additionally our pbx will sometimes send a packet out to a few ip addresses on the internet using UDP port 0.
This did not occur when we were using our really old phones. However our fancy Digium phones now do this. I did find where using UDP port 0 is in the SIP specs so I’m not completely worried plus the information its sending out isnt anything that has me worried.
However, I would really like to find whatever feature is using port 0 and turn it off if possible.
From what I’m reading many ISPs block port 0 traffic anyways.
Any thoughts would be useful.
