UCP... "There was an error" interface doesn't load completely

All of a sudden, one of my client systems (FreePBX 15.0.23.7, up to date on “Edge”) is throwing an error when loading UCP on any extension. The web browser console shows that it can’t find settings.class.php, which I don’t see on this (or other systems):

I did try downgrading UCP as a first option in case this was something new introduced, didn’t make any difference, and then went to edge, updated modules, and still no difference.

Any thoughts would be appreciated…

BTW, I access this system remotely via an ssh connection on port 8129, hence the “localhost:8129” URL.
