Ubuntu 6.06 LTS: [FATAL] mysql PHP libraries not installed (any clue?)

Hi,

I have installed all (I think) of the prerequisites for this package… and I can connect to the database as the asterisk user using perl… But when I try to install FreePBX-2.3 I get the [FATAL] mysql PHP libraries not installed… Any clue what it wants??

Thanks,

Dave

php5-mysql (or php4-mysql)

You might also want to look at UbuntuServer on the wiki, I think it documents most of the install (feel free to add to it, if not).

Hi and thanks for the reply,

here’s what I see:

root@pbx:/usr/src# apt-get install php5-mysql
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree… Done
php5-mysql is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

How can I troubleshoot this FATAL error?? Why doesn’t the installer script see the libraries?
I have reloaded apache2 and I have added the required extensions to php?? Any clues?

I’m having this exact same problem ubuntu 6.06LTS FreePBX 2.3.1 all prereq’s install can connect to the DB fine from apache… Script still fails to install. Any ideas what I can check to fix this?

– With php5 you must edit /etc/php5/cli/php.ini and uncomment extensions=mysql.so

i am very new to freepbx. i have a the same pbm.
