Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop zulu-uc

Hi,

First issue:
We need to execute zulu-uc on a single system so that several agents can execute zulu-uc on that system (not simultaneously). We don’t want to install multiple versions or unpack the zulu-uc client in each users home directory or change ownership and group of that directory so it corresponds to that particular user.

Second issue
I installed zulu-uc version 2.1.11/2.1.14 When executing zulu out of the installation path, it does not kill the process and we have to kill -9 pid manually.

Any suggestions?

Zulu is a commercial module. Commercial modules are supported on the Distro only. So if you need Zulu, you need to install the Distro. Ubuntu will not support it.

Hi @BlazeStudios<

We are running Zulu server on FreePBX

The client side does not work as indicated.

Zulu Users 400

Our Workstations are all Ubuntu Desktop 16.04 LTS.
We can install and run the Zulu Client [zulu-2.1.11.tar.gz] when it is installed in a users home directory.

However, linux is a true multi-user environment. It does not make sense for each user on a host to make a copy of the zulu sip phone. We want to know how to install in a central local within an existing path with each user having it’s own .config

Second issue.
When running the zulu sip client it works but has to be executed from the command line.

Third issue
When we terminate the zulu sip phone [CTRL+C] the app exits but if we ps aux | grep zulu we find that the pid is still active and must pkil for it to close completely. If we do not do this, then the GUI cannot be restarted.
While this is fine for System Admins who have sudo access, the users cannot make use of the zulu sip phone unless system admins are always there to help them.

Fourth Issue
There is a usability problem in that if a user clicks on chat or sms, fax they cannot return back to the dialer interface.

Any clues here would be welcomed.

Thanks
