System Recording Playback Garbled

Ok, am gonna try this again, this has been a problem for me since 2.6 and many others I have talked with that can not figure out what is going on.

When I try and play a stock GSM or custom recorded file recorded via extension # with *97, they get played back garbled. This happens on 3 different systems I have access to.

Now before you say it is something with my computer/browser/quicktime setup - I can play/listen to extension recordings just fine off the recordings tab. So it is not my computer/browser/quicktime setup.

what do I need to look for so I can get some help on trying to figure this out. I am willing to do whatever digging I need to. Just need a push in the right direction.

to start off - here is the page source from the popup of trying to play a standard stock installed system recording:

</html>

Did you get this resolved? Was it an issue with codecs?

I am having this issue, has there been an update on this? Any ideas?
