Symlink problems

Hay all, I’m running the latest PIAF Purple with Asterisk 1.8.2 and installed the latest FPBX beta 2.9 this evening. Everything went fine, however I am now getting a constant error on the System Status Page. This is what I get:

retrieve_conf failed to sym link:
/etc/asterisk/ccss.conf from campon/etc
This can result in FATAL failures to your PBX. If the target file exists and not identical, the symlink will not occur and you should rename the target file to allow the automatic sym link to occur and remove this error, unless this is an intentional customization.

(retrieve_conf.SYMLINK)

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have deleted ccss.conf yet the error message persists.

you need to press the orange apply configuration bar again for it to go away.

I would if there was one

I have also rebooted several times as well as the re-read configs link.

delete the copy of ccss.conf that is in /etc/asterisk, the campon module provides it’s own auto-generated version.

In terminal delete the ccss.conf and the sip_notify.conf. Then went to the Module Admin in FreepBX. Un-installed Comp-On module, applied changes. Click the infamous “orange bar” and then install the Comap-On module again. This re-creates the files and clears the Symlink error message.

Good luck hope this works for you.

for what it’s worth, yes that little procedure did the trick to clear the warning… thanks
