Strange Queue behaviour between 2 agents

Hy,

I’m currently working with freepbx 2.9.0.6 and I have 2 queues configured.
Everything works fine on that point except that I have gap of 8sec during wich none of the agents are ringing.
The retry param is set to zero, I tried so many conf that I can’t find a new idea.

I’ll appreciate a little help

regards from france

Asterisk 1.6 has all sorts of issues with Queues. You should be running 1.8

Thanks for answering,

I have no official packages for asterisk 1.8 in the yum repo.
Maybe it’s to risky to upgrade until one will be available.

Moreover, should I upgrade freepbx as well?

Regards

Does anybody already experienced this behaviour?
I tried many parameteres in queue conf and hardphone settings as well extensions one’s.

Shall I declare a bug?

Regards

What version of Asterisk are you using?

Thank you for answering so fast.

So I have a freepbx 2.9.0.6.
It running on a centos with all those asterisk packages
asterisk-sounds-core-en-gsm 1.4.20-1_centos5
asterisk-sounds-core-en-ulaw 1.4.20-1_centos5
asterisk-sounds-extra-en-gsm 1.4.11-1_centos5
asterisk-sounds-moh-opsound-ulaw 0.0-4_centos5
asterisk16 1.6.2.18-1_centos5
asterisk16-codec_g729a 1.6.2.0_3.1.4-2_centos5
asterisk16-core 1.6.2.18-1_centos5
asterisk16-dahdi 1.6.2.18-1_centos5
asterisk16-doc 1.6.2.18-1_centos5
asterisk16-voicemail 1.6.2.18-1_centos5
asterisknow-version 1.7.1-2_centos5

It’s not risky at all. What distro are you running?

Our distro includes the latest FreePBX and Asterisk and works like a champ. You can simply run a backup from your system, install the FreePBX distro and then run a restore to the new system.

I’m running on centOS 5 and there is no asterisk 1.8 package in yum.
Must I compile?

I never trust the RPM’s. If you are running on CentOS download the latest stable Asterisk 1.8 and run make clean, make menuselect, make and make install.

You will be assured of having the latest stable Asterisk.

Thanks,

I will try this after the authirzation of my customer.
