Strange issue registering Grandstream GXP2110 and 2000 phones

I am trying to add two Grandstream phones to my setup. If I take an existing extension and add them to the phones they work fine. However, if I create a new extension and add it to the phones they don’t register. I have compared all of the settings on my new extension with the old one and can find no difference. FreePBX 2.10.1.1. Any ideas? Thanks.

Can you please give us more details regarding the issue :

1- Which firmware is currently loaded to each phone gxp2100 and gxp2000 ?
2- Can you please attach a Wireshark trace showing the registration process, this way we can identify the issue clearly ?

Please make sure first to upgrade the GXP2000 to the latest firmware.

Can you attach the trace in pcap format ?

I am not sure you really need a wireshark trace. Besides all you attached is a bunch of arp transactions, you were asked for SIP registration. (sip set debug ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

Just set SIP debug on the Asterisk box for the phones IP and turn the verbosity and debug levels to 0 (core set verbose 0 and core set debug 0)

That should let you see the error.

Don’t forget to do a (sip set debug off)
