Ref: Using System Admin Pro (OpenVPN module)

We have built a new SangomaOS box from .ISO
We purchased the System Admin Pro module

The box seems to be built, up, and running …

The VPN Server module (inside of System Admin Pro) is stuck:

Certificates are getting generated. please try again after few minutes

I’ve seen this a few times, but usually after checking-back in 1 hour or so: the CERTS are populated and built (good for about 730 days)

I’ll check this box again in a few more hours, but it has been this way for a while.

The log file is present: /var/log/openvpn.log (all empty)
There is no service for openvpn running …

We have created one test extension to see that populate in the VPN server area

I’ve seen it take a really long time before, like a day on some installs. Never took the time to figure out why as it always ended up working but just confirming that I’ve seen it take a while before.

As of this AM: The SangomaOS box has sill not got its CERTS created.

Watching incoming/outgoing traffic: nothing is being blocked, etc.

I’ve rebooted the box a few times.

FIXED/SOLVED:

I totally had forgotten to actually go inside the module and ENABLE the service (settings tab).

By default, the VPN Server module is OFF, and you have to enable it.

All good. After doing this, minutes later, the CERTS were created and available.

The VPN Server is working.
