[Solved] Ethernet not recognized on 2023 Dell 7010 micro

I’ve got a 2023 model Dell micro. I can’t get the built in ethernet or wifi to work no matter what I do. I’ve been Googling for hours.

Lspci -nn | grep -i net shows a network controller device of 8086:7af0.

Also an ethernet controller 8086:1a1c.

I can’t figure out what to do next. I’ve had to resort to an ancient 10/100 usb to ethernet adapter in the meantime.

Well, I made progress somehow. I believe it was this drivers - Intel e1000e Ethernet not working - Ask Ubuntu.

How that the internal ethernet is working it apparently reordered the interfaces which made me lose my activation. Now to figure out how to fix that.
