I’m trying to install munin and monit but FOR THE LIFE OF ME I can’t get it to work. I’ve enabled EPEL, but monit and munin as packages aren’t found. I’ve tried to compile monit manually and that hasn’t worked. I’ve tried a manual binary install, and that hasn’t worked. I’ve tried to enable a couple of external repos and that hasn’t worked either.
yum search doesn’t reveal monit or munin as packages. Is there any reason for this?

EDIT: after mucking around some more with the compiled version, I have got monit to recognise as a service and start correctly. Murphy’s law, I guess.
