We have a client who is using the UCP to view and send messages. However they claim that they have messages disappearing on them after viewing them, they are not deleting them.
Is there any way to get the messages back in the event they might have deleted them? Or is there a known issue from previous about messages deleting them

I’m assuming we’re talking about the SMS module which works with UCP in FreePBX. As far as I can tell by looking at the code, there is no way to delete a message by viewing it. The user would either have to delete the message or delete the entire message thread to delete the message from UCP. Also, there is no way to recover messages once they have been deleted on the FreePBX side, however, that being said, the SIP Provider may have a copy of all messages sent, it just really depends on their setup.
