This is incredibly frustrating how do I connect to the extensions I cannot do it anymore…
It’s wasting a lot of time and I have no idea what to do or why it no longer connects system log file is unclear and endpoint shows as unavailable… I played with firewall settings on gui but I don’t think there is anything… could it be banned on fail2ban while simultaneously be trusted? It was working before…
If it were me, I would consider hiring a consultant to help you out. If you are continuing to have trouble and are not very familiar with these type of configurations, whether it be the pbx/phone config, or help with the network configuration.
No he’s advising you to hire a consultant because you’re having trouble with basic functions. This topic has 46 posts about blocking IP addresses…
I read the 16 posts… my question was specifically unique… I figured that part out for blocking the ip, I still get sip vicious calls periodically, and also I am trying to be able to connect to the extension this help forum is designed to help people… so I don’t need ignorant trolls trashing me into having a helper and if you want to support him maybe you can also help foot the bill…

Just saying “I can’t get extensions to connect, tell me how to do it” isn’t helpful. You need to provide information on what kind of errors you are seeing, if you’ve done any troubleshooting and what you have found.
There are various reasons why a phone might not register with the system, we just can’t start playing a guessing game as to what that might be. You need to do some leg work and provide us with some actual details.
Is there a diagnostic guide? Like steps to take. It was working before…

thank you everyone for the help also this learning helped because there is a book on asterisk which I could use to familiarize myself a bit further also things are working now… a bit more…
