SIP Trunk Woes

Using the latest distro of FreePBX12 and all modules updated.

I am having issues setting up sip trunks to a known working provider (tested this morning).

I am unable to register a normal Chan_SIP trunk Asterisk tells me:

[2015-06-07 13:22:26] ERROR[31452] chan_sip.c: Serious Network Trouble; __sip_xmit returns error for pkt data
[2015-06-07 13:22:26] NOTICE[31452] chan_sip.c: – Registration for ‘username@sip_IPaddress’ timed out, trying again (Attempt #2)

I have set up NAT as per the original server and am now lost at what else to look at.

Any pointers would be gratefully accepted.

Mark

Verify your sip trunk credentials are what your provider expects, and make sure you have defined your networks in the Asterisk SIP settings module. If you provide your providers name it’s likely you can get better help.

Thanks Preston

I started again and performed a full rebuild. I knew my provider details were correct as I still had the old server which connected.

I am not sure if there are incompatibilities between PJSIP extensions and ChanSIP trunks, so on my second rebuild I set everything up as ChanSIP. Once I had done this everything worked.

Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

Mark.
