SIP trunk 403, Provider Integra says my PBX is sending options

Asterisk (Ver. 11.18.0)
FreePBX 12.0.76.6

I have the trunk settings setup exactly as prescribed by Integra: http://support.electriclightwave.com/knowledge-base/sip-trunking-ip-pbx-vendor-setup-guides/#general-help (Asterisk Configuration Guidance PDF)

The PBX has been functional for 2 years. After performing an amportal restart, it all cleared up, but I’m guessing it’s going to happen again, per what the sip provider noted:

“Getting a 403 back from the pbx. The PBX is sending options back to the metaswitch and the switch doesn’t like that. The trunk is going to fail when this happens”.

SO I desperately need help, I haven’t found anything useful in two hours of digging around and googling and reading previous “sip trunk 403” posts.

Would the pbx be sending sip options from settings elsewhere other than the trunk settings??

SIP trunk settings that include a line like:

qualify=yes

by definition mean that your PBX will send an OPTIONS packet at 1min intervals.

Perfect, that’s exactly what they said to use. What would I try differently, qualify=no?

Seems like a reasonable step to take.

Thanks Lorne! I’ll give it a try!
