Sip registration timed out

Hello,

I am trying to set-up a trunk to SIP provider WeePee.
But…
I always get this error message:
NOTICE[1818] chan_sip.c: – Registration for ‘[email protected]’ timed out, trying again (Attempt #8)

I checked this forum, and tried already some proposals (srvlookup, …) but, no result.

Does somebody has another idea ?

can you pint the domain from the Asterisk server?

I meant to say “ping” can the Asterisk server resolve and ping the host defined in the trunk and registration string?

Hello,

The asterisk server can indeed ping the provider XXXX.XXXX.weepee.org .
Even when i ping with the port 5060
Result: icmp_seq=1 ttl=55 time=9.84 ms
I already set Qualify to no, and it gives no differencen.

I connected the server at another place and it works !
So, I think it’s something with the firewall or ???

Just because ICMP is open does not mean SIP protocol will work. Impossible to troubleshoot a network from forum messages.

You need to check every device that is Layer 3 and above in the chain between the server and the Internet.
