"sent to invalid extension but no invalid handler" when using Contact Manager Speed Dials as destination

When using a Contact Manager Speed Dial as a destination, it fails with the following message:

Channel ‘PJSIP/2550-00001324’ sent to invalid extension but no invalid handler: context,exten,priority=ext-contactmanager-sd,100,1

The speed dial was tested and works through the feature code. Same result with other extensions.

any ideas ?

If I understand what you’re asking, you’ve done something like this:

What do you expect to happen when a call gets to this point?

That is correct, the “no answer” destination is set to the Contact Manager Speed Dial as a fail over. I would expect it to call the external number of the speed dial, but maybe my expectation is wrong here.

Sounds like you want a Misc Destination. I can’t think of any practical use of setting this feature code as a destination. I will file a ticket to have it removed as a dest option.

I will take that route then, thank you for your response.
