Hi, I am looking to add a second local, private IP to our FreePBX instance, for softphone and GUI connectivity. The thinking behind this is that we can keep the existing one in use so we don’t need to do a cutover for all users and can slowly migrate people onto using the new address. The current IP can then be removed at a later date when we are confident nothing/nobody is using it anymore.
I haven’t been able to find any documentation on whether this is possible. Does anyone know if I can either add a second IP to the existing network connection, or add a second NIC for this, without having routing issues? The second IP would be on the same subnet.
