I’m curious if anyone considered red-green color blindness when putting the module together. Most red-green color blind people cannot see red (and in some cases green) text. It’s not just that the text looks a different color, they might not be able to see it legibly. Meaning those people would not be able to tell the word POSITIVE in green text from NEGATIVE in red text. Nor could they tell it was green or red text.
I know this because I have (and in the past) color blind users and I used to do the same thing, just different color tex to show status. They couldn’t tell the difference. Now I use buttons/icons for the color with white or black text in our interfaces.
Just a thought.
Accessibility is definitely a concern that is driving development eg. adding Scribe captions to voicemail opens up the content of the audio stream to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. But customizable colors (across the GUI), or perhaps bold/regular/italic font options in this particular module, could also help more users access the system. That said, there are some style elements that might currently be usable by screen readers such as data-sentiment="negative"
.
Thank you for the feedback @BlazeStudios.
