I’m testing the Scribe module with the trial. I configured one user to transcript the voicemail of this user and I also enable the “Voicemail to Email“ option in the Scribe dashboad. Emails are not getting sent at all. If I disable all Scribe options, the voicemail emails start to work again (just the wav file with the voicemail information)
The trial is still valid and I can see the transcriptions in the dashboard. The emails are not sent, I can’t see them in our SMTP server’s logs.
The log I posted seems to indicated that a tag is missing in the email configuration.
When the option “Voicemail to Email” is enabled in the Scribe configuration, the tag {VM_PBX_SCRIBE} is added at the bottom of the email body (visible in the Voicemail Admin menu).
I’ve tried adding “$” in front of the tag because the other variables in the email body all have “$” in front of them but it still doesn’t work.
When activating the transcription for recordings, the error is the same as the voicemail transcriptions in scribe.log (Email not sent: No matching tags found or transcription is empty.)
I fixed the issue by clearing the voicemail email template and letting FreePBX recreate the default one. After that, emails started working. I was also able to re-customize the email template after. My guess is that there was a invalid character or something like that in the template.
Thanks for the suggestion but the issue is now fixed. I’m not even sure I can reproduce it… I’m pretty sure there was some weird stuff in my template because I pasted it from a document I use when I configure new systems.
