SangomaConnect / Talk Help - Credentials

So I was able to get the SangomaConnect relicensed. I have all the ports set up and have the same credentials I was using before, but it keeps telling me that they are invalid. Are there any characters that are invalid to use when setting passwords in FreePBX?

It is the same credentials as if I was logging into the UCP, right? Unless anything changed at least, that’s what the wiki says:

I clicked on the “Forgot Password” link in the phone app and it brings me to the UCP. I use the inspect tool on my browser to confirm that I am typing in the password exactly how it is. Despite that, I still can’t log in on the phone app. Even resetting the password, using one finger at a time on my keyboard and going slowly to ensure I type things correctly, resetting it to that still gives me the invalid credentials.

Is there another spot now that has credentials I need to set up to allow me to use the softphone?

I will say the last time I really used it was probably almost a year ago, so I don’t remember too much. I have also looked through the wiki but unless I’m missing it, I didn’t see what I’m looking for.

you can try to change the password from userman → user → edit user and then try to put new password and then “apply config” , after that give a try once again. Also ensure that you are able to login to ucp via the same password.

it still doesn’t work unfortunately. I changed the password and hit Apply Config. Then I was able to successfully log into the UCP with that password. However, the phone app still says the credentials are invalid.

Ah I got it. I missed the box on System Admin → Port Management to run “fwconsole restart sangomartapi”

Weird, at least to me, that it would just give an “invalid credentials” error and not something else. Been chasing that for a good while this morning.
