Whats the best way to handle this? Two contacts sharing a public IP and extension number causing issues. Eg x3001 has a desk phone and a soft phone, the softphone is on a cell phone that is in the office and on the wifi. Getting off the wifi is the easiest fix but I havent looked for a better solution in a while. Looking for ideas.
OK what is the actual issue?
yeah I should probably provide some info. Both phones go offline and drop audio. Getting the cell phone off the wifi fixes the issue. I assume they’re alternating but I dont have proof of that.
The soft phone registrations are coming in from different IPs every X minutes ?
Maybe post some logs in pastebin.freepbx.org ?
Initially the soft phone and the desk phone were at the same IP, on the wifi at the office. Then the desk phone started falling offline even when the cell phone running the soft phone was not in the office. It doesnt effect any of the other phones, so I wondered if there was something going on with the extension number itself, since there was another device at x201 before. Changing the extension number seems to have fixed it so I need to figure out where there’s still any sign of the old device that would be causing problems.
