Sangoma Phones with STUN


A client of ours has their PBX in the cloud and their Sangoma S Series phones are behind a [misconfigured] SonicWALL. The SonicWALL keeps on dropping packets because their port remapping is broken… So to satisfy SonicWALL we enabled STUN on the Sangoma Phones and everyone is happy.

However, the contact header now has the WAN IP (instead of the LAN IP), which makes it a bit hard for us to find the LAN IP if we ever need to troubleshoot the actual device.

  1. Is there a way to add the LAN IP in a header? Similar to adding the MAC address (Account > Advanced > SIP Send MAC.)
  2. Alternatively, is there a way that STUN should only be applied in the SDP?
