Sangoma Phone v4.1.0.70/v4.0.6 - DND -- should calls come through?

Hi,

I could of sworn if you put yourself on DND, that calls would go to voicemail (external). Is this correct,? or did I make this up in my head… told the staff if you put yourself on DND and that any calls coming through would got to voicemail, but after I quick test on my extension.. the call came through.

Sangoma Desktop Phone: v 4.1.0.70
it appears the status’s are for visual FYi and not functional?

thank you,
Peter

HI @ccc-canada
Make sure the extension has voicemail (VM) enabled. then If the status is set to DND, calls should go to voicemail.

Can you run the following command to check the current status of the extension when DND is enabled?

asterisk -rx "core show hint <exten>"

234@ext-local : PJSIP/234&PJSIP/9823 State:Unavailable Presence:dnd Watchers 0
1 hint matching extension 234

220@ext-local : PJSIP/220&PJSIP/9822 State:Idle Presence:dnd Watchers 0
1 hint matching extension 220

I call my extension (220), and it is ringing all my devices even with the DND enabled. we all have voicemail enabled..

I had her do a *76 to turn on DND, I called the extension through our main # and it now went straight to DND. tested on my extension and say outcome went to DND, disabled *76 and set through app and calls are still coming through.
Hard her disable DND *76, enable on app, and I called, and the call went through and rang her extension..

it appears enabling the feature through the app (mobile app as well) is not activating it.

Sangoma Phone: 4.1.0 / 4.0.6

Thanks,
Peter

Hi @ccc-canada
Can you enable “Log Settings” in Sangoma Phone version 4.1.0, then try setting DND using the feature code and check the DND status using the following command:

asterisk -rx "core show hint <exten>"

After that, try setting DND again using the Status App and check the command output once more.

Please share the results along with the app logs. For enabling the logs follow the below steps

Go to Settings → look for Log Settings and enable logs, you will find the log path which is saved in your system/laptop
