Hello,
I have a FreePBX 17 installation that I use at home, but my work uses a 3rd-party hosted cloud solution.
I use an Aastra phone that is configured to connect to my home PBX but on asecon line is configured to connect to my work’s system.
I have a Sangoma S405 that I bought quite a while ago, but hadn’t used for some reason I don’t recall. I have decided to use it, but I cannot get it to connect to my works system. I think the issue might be that the settings include a “proxy server” which is just a tenant ID and is not the “Outbound proxy” or “Primary SIP server”. The Aastra phone does have a field for “Proxy server” where this ID goes, but I see no similar field on the Sangoma. Just for reference, this is the information that is from the service provider (anonymized):
Domain/Proxy: contoso
Outbound Proxy: core2-fl.somedomain.com
Username: 4031
Password: randomized_characters_password
As there is no actual “Domain” or “Proxy server” field, I tried adding it to either and both of the “SIP User ID” and “Authenticate ID” fields (i.e., ‘4031@contoso’) but registration still fails.
Now, of course the Sangoma phones are designed to work with FreePBX systems and as FreePBX is not a multi-tenant system, it may not have been designed to work with such systems, so I may be SOL, but I just wnated to see if that is indeed the case, or if there is a way to allow it to connect.
I look forward to your insight. Thanks! ![]()
