I’m trying to get a Plantronics CS540 wireless DECT headset to work with a Sangoma P330. I assumed I would need the HC01 EHS, but I’m struggling to figure out how everything should connect. The headset base station has just one single 8-pin RJ45 and a 3.5mm jack, and if I just use the adapter cable that came with the headset that goes from the 8-pin on the base to the RJ11 headset port on the phone, I get audio just fine. But it doesn’t seem that I can answer or hang up calls from the button on the headset. The HC01 doesn’t appear to be usable with the Plantronics CS540 since there is only a single RJ45 on the CS540 basestation. I’m also assuming the older EHS30 doesn’t work with the P-series phones.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have scoured the internet and Sangoma’s Wiki, and I’m just not finding any information about the proper way to connect.
Thank you so much for your reply. I meant to update this thread earlier, but I kept researching, and finally found a blurb about the proper EHS cable on the Sangoma Help Center/Wiki: https://support.digium.com/s/article/Compatible-Digium-Sangoma-phone-Headsets
“CS500 series headsets with APP-51 cable, including CS510, CS520, CS530 and CS540 models”
I already ordered them (the same link you shared from Amazon).
Again, thank you so much for your reply, and I hope this dialog will helpful to someone else with the same question.
