I’m not seeing an option for SMS or chat in the Sangoma desktop phone app, even though we could chat in the Zulu app.
Could you guide me on how to enable chat in the Sangoma app? I’ve checked and it’s enabled for this user in UCP.
Hi @faisalkhan ,
Maybe you can restart sangomartapi process with below command
“fwconsole restart sangomartapi”
After restarting this process, login and check the chat option.
As for SMS, your PBX should have either SIPstation or voipinnovations trunk for setting up SMS in sangoma connect desktop
Thanks
fwconsole ma list | grep sangomartapi
| sangomartapi | 16.0.49.35 | Enabled | Commercial | Sangoma |
have already run the command you suggested, “fwconsole restart sangomartapi” as well as “fwconsole restart,” but I still don’t see the option appearing. Is there anything else I might be overlooking in the settings or configuration?
Hi @faisalkhan,
The chat module that you have enabled in your screenshot from user management is not for Sangoma Phone Desktop Client Chat, that is a local XMPP server. You want to make sure you have that enabled from the settings tab in the Sangoma Connect module. Have you done this?
