i have two pbxact servers setup box1 and box2. box 2 is in another state with a site2site vpn connection that’s idle as a warm spare. the issue is when my main site goes down box1 the main dns aaa record only points to box1.
what is the correct way to setup sangoma connect softphones so that their is a failover to the other server?
You need to change your DNS records to point to the warm spare.
You can set up SRV records with your DNS service for SIP (5060) and/or SIPS (5061) appropriately for both servers, have your phones register and invite the URL not the ip
