Sangoma A200 problem

Hello guys,

We have switched from an old PC Trixbox system to an HP server running FreePBX distro. We are using one A200 Sangoma card with 4 FXO ports.

All went quite smooth with one exception: on channel #2 we are hearing a high level background noise. All normal debugging actions have been performed (checking the configuration files, update the firmware, change PCI slot, switch between modules - the problem persist and remain on channel #2.

Testing again in the old PC shows that the problem is not present.

Problem could be tested listening the recorded RX and TX streams (using dahdi_monitor). Also dadhdi_monitor show something like this (with or without the PSTN line connected to Sangoma card):

dahdi_monitor 2 -vv

Visual Audio Levels.

Use chan_dahdi.conf file to adjust the gains if needed.

( # = Audio Level * = Max Audio Hit )
<----------------(RX)----------------> <----------------(TX)---------------->
###########* cntrl-c pressed2131) Tx: 0 ( 0)
###########* Rx: 2098 ( 2131) Tx: 0 ( 0)done cleaning up … exiting.

The final resolution from Sangoma (on case #4732) was:

My testing results concluded that it’s possible that your particular release and version of our driver might be causing the problem on this particular machine and kernel. I would recommend upgrading to our most recent version (wanpipe 3.5.27).

Are there any chances to update the repository with the new latest wanpipe version?

This is what is currently installed on the machine:
wanpipe-3.5.26-kernel.2.6.18.308.4.1.el5.dahdi.2.6.1

Any other hints or comments you may have are welcomed.

Best regards,
Ioan Indreias.
