S500/700 LCD Backlight

Can anyone shed any light on what is going on with the S500 and 700 screen backlight? I have “Backlight Timeout” set to 0 in EndPoint Manager; however, the backlights on all S500 and S700 seem to have a life of their own. They may stay on for hours, then go off for a short while. Then come back on again randomly! A bug perhaps?

I have not seen that behavior what firmware version are you using.

I forgot to mention there are S300’s in use also - but they are all located in outbuildings, so I have not been able to observe the screen behaviour as of yet!

Do you have a backlight override schedule specified?

Also are you sure that is the firmware that is on the actual phone. Look in the phone status screen from the LCD
