I’ve been on PBXact since 2016 and things have worked great. I have several ring groups set up for different stores 2100, 2200, 2300 etc. Suddenly 2200 2201 and 2202 don’t work, instead I get a message that says I am sorry but there is no call parked on that extension. My only parking lot is 71-78. All other ring groups work as expected and ring groups 22XX are within the same building as the pbx so there are no vpn connections involved for that location.
I figured this one out, just in case it happens to someone else, I will post my findings here as well.
*72 enables call forwarding. When answering a call parked on 72 someone entered *72 send instead of 72 send which placed all calls into forwarding for that extension. Then they pressed 72 again which forwarded all calls to Parking lot 72 which had no calls parked 99 percent of the time. Everything that hit that ring group was answered after 1 ring and then forwarded to an empty parking lot.
