Ring group as an extension and available via directory lookup as well

How do I enable a ring group to be a valid extension? And have it also be an item in the directory look up as well.

Or can I enable an extension to ring two phones?

Or can I program two phones to be the same extension?

Just to get you started…

Put all of the extensions you wish to call in a “dummy” ring group. This ring group can be anything except the public ring group number

Create a new custom extension with the number you want listed in the directory.

In the “This device uses custom technology” box place the dial string:
"Local/xxxx@from-internal in the ring group. Where xxxx is the number of the dummy ring group.
