I guess it’s less of an issue and more of an annoyance. With the old Presence in Aastra XML Apps when the phone was set to ‘Available’ no message was displayed on the idle screen as it is assumed the user is at the phone and available. With the new REST Presence app, ‘Available’ or whatever the status is set to, is always displayed on the idle screen. For status’ other than ‘Available’ this normal behavior but for ‘Available’ it is an annoyance. As we use Aastra 6939i’s the biggest complaint we are getting right now is that our really nice background image with company logo is blocked by the status ‘Available’ box and the people who pay the bills aren’t happy about it. Beyond turning off Presence, is there anything that can be done?
