[RESOLVED] FreePBX 2.10.0 rc1 Backup works but Restore is broken (FTP Restore Needs work)

This definately needs some work. (if not done already) If so how do I get it?
I have (2) RC1 servers … trying to restore the backup from server 1 to server 2 and getting nowhere. I have tried several backups and it seemd like the restore does nothing at all.
Any ideas?

Seems to work great on backup.

Then copy the file to the other server chown asterisk:asterisk

Restore seems to work … but nothing saying it failed or completed …
Kinda expected a Reload or something like usual.

Ok I just rechecked and am seeing a HEAP of updates.
Let me test a bit and get back to this post.

Ok confirmed … totally fixed. Great Job Devs.
I could not have asked for better timing.

Backups are now more than 2x the size they used to be.
Anyone else get this? Is this supposed to be that way?

All depends on what you are backing up. You need to look at the templates and decide what you want backed up.

Full Backup of coarse.
I compared to previous verion and the backups are 2x + more.
Old = 86mb
New = 259 mb

Is the new backup backing up more?
If this is normal size for a fresh load then I will just crawl back under my rock.

Ah and silly me forgot to mention:
Backup & Restore v2.10.0.14

Perhaps file compression is broken?

I also tested the restore from ftp sever … That did not work. Just swirled the url icon a bit and then did nothing.
Restore from local seems ok though … Even if the file is soo much larger at least it works now.

Unchecked Backup Voicemails and now the size is back to normal.
I did not realize after only a week of use they would grow that large.

Backup size issue Resolved.

I’m trying to restore a backup from a machine that has Centos 6.2 / Asterisk 1.8 / FreePbx 2.10.1.9 to a machine that has Centos 6.4 / Asterisk 1.8 / Freepbx 2.10.1.9

I’m falling into the same issue Bob faced earlier. Backup seems great but when you restore nothing happens? nothing saying it failed or completed …
expected to hit the reload (Apply Config) button as always.

This is what i have been doing

  1. Copy the backed-up tgz file to my local PC from the FTP server.
  2. Under FreePbx Administration click >restore>choose the file> OK.
