Remote extension periodically getting 'sip 408 error'


I have recently set up an remote extension for a new office assistant in the Philippines and we are in Australia.

We are periodically getting ‘sip 408 error’ (about 2-3 times a day) a restart of the remote system works and sometimes a sever restart helps

I have a dynamic IP address and useing DYNDNS domain name which seems to be working

could someone point me in the right direction or let me know what other info to post


When you get that error does the extension unregister? Can you ping the remote extension from your pbx and give us the output please.
