Just another reminder for our US users. The final deadline for unregistered 10DLC traffic is Feb 1st 2025. This means that as of that date all unregistered 10DLC traffic will be blocked from networks. Carriers found sending unregistered 10DLC traffic over their network will be fined.
All VoIP numbers are considered A2P (Application-2-Person) and all A2P is 10DLC. If you haven’t registered your company and campaign with TCR and assigned your numbers to a campaign then all your outbound messaging traffic will be blocked.
I know many providers have made it so you must register to use SMS but there are still plenty carriers out there that haven’t forced 10DLC registration and allow unregistered traffic over their networks. Mainly those that allow mixed traffic (residential/consumer and business) over their networks will little difference (i.e. VoIP.ms and the like). Since only businesses can register for 10DLC those using VoIP based SMS for personal use may end up seeing your outbound traffic go no where.
Again, for those who have been dragging their feet or believed “this won’t impact me, I’m small” you need to get your registration done if you want to keep sending SMS over your numbers.
