Rejecting unknown SIP connection from 192.168.1.1

Hi All,

My inbound calls are not routing - they get past pfsense and then seem to be dropped by FreePBX as it doesn’t like the LAN IP of my firewall.

I have the Asterisk Sip Settings module configured:

NAt=yes
IP Config = Static IP
External IP = [dyndns hostname for my DSL]
Local networks = 192.168.1.0 /255.255.25.0

I’m obviously missing something… can anyone point me in the right direction - I’d really appreciate it.

Versions of FreePBX and Asterisk would be useful here.

Sorry - should have known that might help. Asterisk 11.7.0 and Freepbx 2.11.0.38.

I’m also running siproxd if that could be involved, but I think that is for outbound calls?

(I’m also struggling to get those working - they ring but no audio- but one issue at a time.)

The question is why is the request coming from 192.168.1.1, which I assume is your pfsense router but why is it re-writing the headers and making the packets seem like they are coming from 192.168.1.1, they need to be coming from the source device.

Try set “Settings -> Asterisk SIP Settings -> Allow Anonymous Inbound SIP Calls” to “yes”

Thanks - is this a security risk?
